What is the difference between a zero clearance fireplace and a traditional one?
An enclosed area makes up a zero-clearance firebox fireplace which allows for safer installation since there are no heat vents that protrude from outside of your home, unlike what would be present with standard model types that have been traditionally used in homes over time.
This type also has an advantage when you want to install it on either new or existing construction because you can use them without necessarily having to hire someone to put things together prior so unless this isn’t something you’re able to do yourself, then maybe get some help instead if not sure how everything comes together otherwise during/after installation might seem like more trouble it’s worth considering all factors involved just to be safe.
