Removing the mantel is an easy process, but you must be aware of safety precautions. First, shut off power to your fireplace at the circuit breaker or fuse box in order to avoid shock when working with electrical components inside the unit. Then use a screwdriver to remove any screws that hold certain parts together and gently pull them apart until they are separated. Lastly remove any nails with pliers if necessary before moving onto another section of your fireplace’s interior structure. After everything has been removed it can then be disposed of without worry about causing harm to yourself or others around you!
