-Use a heat shield to protect your TV from the fireplace. A heat shield is placed over top of the television and blocks most of the heated air produced by a fire place. This will reduce how hot it gets near the TV, but there may still be some heating on certain parts of it depending on where you set up your fireplace for the season.
-Position the TV above the fireplace mantel to keep it further away from scorching heat, but still close enough where you can enjoy watching your favorite shows and movies in front of a fire place.
-Keep the TV away from any fireplace screens, as they can block air flow which will make it harder for your television to stay cool. It’s best to place a flat screen TV on top of or under a screen that is used with the fireplace.
